Corona, New Mexico. A seemingly normal little town in the mid 1800's, it is a hot spot for hunters of animals.. And something else as well. In the basement of a small home just outside of the little town, works a grisly old man roughly in his late sixties. He stands over the broken body of his wife, trying to revive her and make get her back into the world of the living when all hell breaks loose. Her spirit is thrown from her body to stand before him, relaying to him the legend of creatures that lived here before their time. Being a doctor and a man of science, he knows that what she told him could be possible, so he gathers an expedition to find these beings. He tells his gathering of followers that the answer they seek is in the mountains, the fabled home of these beings for hundreds of years. And outside his door things were beginning to be set in motion, but the thought of these beings actually coming to this town was unheard of.
After rummaging in his wife’s belongings, he found a journal with all of her dreams listed inside of it. One of the dreams mentioned the device, as well as a world dominated by supernatural beings.. Ones that he had never heard of outside movies and books. After many tries at getting the device to work, the man by the name of Dorian Reigns, finally discovers the remains of a successful civilization. Here he finds his ancestors, and his family of the past, but he does not know what he is, seeing as how his family was nearly completely wiped off the map. He becomes a doctor where he simply treats the locals with methods from his ancestral family. They call him ’crazy’ and ’insane’ for introducing these new methods of medicine that he displays with the limited technology.. But they accept him and things seem to go as normal as possible for the next decade.
By the time Dorian was in his 70’s, he successfully brought a human being back from the dead to find that they were still intelligent, and they knew who they were, but for some reason their flesh would fall off, and then suddenly regenerate. Dorian was proud that he had reversed death, but to what cost? Quite soon he found that the new human he had created had a voracious appetite for human blood.. Dorian was bitten by his creation, and in a last ditch effort to save his life, found a way to co-exist with the world by drinking human blood. Vampires had joined the fray. And soon other creatures of the supernatural joined the ranks as well: werewolves and were creatures of all kinds from the native tribes of the plains came into effect. Then their were the Fallen, or Demons, as well as the angels that came from Heaven. Dorian had not only unlocked the secret to life with his device, but that of the afterlife as well.
With these new creatures roaming the plains of the wild west, Dorian tries to find a way out of this hellish world that has been created.. From all over the world vampires, were beasts, creatures made from the dead, and other montrous beings are joining the quiet frontier life. But in the quest to find his way out, a demon from hell pulls him into a dark reality, taking his life.. Which isn’t very long. Because after the demon releases him, he finds himself in a new form: A cursed form. That of which is black, and tainted, and devoid of all hope. He himself had become a demon by trying to find his way out of this world. If he had read his wife’s entire journal, maybe he would have learned that this was his price for being alive.
This is the world that is known to its inhabitants and you. The wild west has taken a turn for the supernatural, and you must find a way to co-exist in this land, lest you fall to the darkness like the doctor. This is your Supernatural Nightmare.
